PROGRAMS + INITIATIVES
The Nebinger PTA is dedicated to enhancing the academic experience of Nebinger students by supporting a range of programs, with a focus on clubs in the arts and sciences. Through funding and volunteer engagement, we strive to cultivate initiatives that enrich student learning, while ensuring that our established programs continue to evolve and meet the dynamic needs of our school community.
Drama Club
Our fantastic art teacher, Ms. Grace, runs the Drama Club with support from EgoPo. Each year, the students perform original takes on well-loved stories, like a Philly-themed Beauty & The Beast, a Punk Rock Peter Pan, and a body-positive Little Mermaid.
STEM Clubs
Our award-winning Science Olympiad, SeaPerch (aquatic robotics), and Robotics clubs give our middle school students the chance to put their STEM skills to work in a competitive way. The PTA Is proud to support these young scientists and engineers of Nebinger!
Field Trip Funding
As a result of a parent feedback survey, the PTA has committed to funding field trips for each grade— each school year! The PTA is listening; become a member or attend meetings and share your thoughts on what would benefit our students most.
Facilities Improvements
The PTA organizes and funds vital facilities improvements, such as upgrades to the auditorium sound system, the installation of lockers for our 7th + 8th graders, and ongoing schoolyard beautification efforts. We simply could not achieve these things without our unique status as an official PTA and generous donations like yours!
Teacher Support
The PTA hosts teacher appreciation breakfasts throughout the school year, provides direct funding towards teachers' project ideas with the PTA Classroom Fund, and shows our dedicated faculty extra love during Teacher Appreciation Week. The PTA always looks for ways to give back to those who make Nebinger such an incredible school for our children!
School + Community Events
Each school year, we support school events like the annual Welcome Back Night, Fall Fest, and Back to School Night as well as 8th Grade Graduation. We also host Movie Nights throughout the year that are free and open to the community. The PTA is committed to fostering a welcoming environment for all Nebinger families.
